The case for doing it all.
It started with music. Moved to Brighton in 2005 to study it — properly obsessed, the kind of obsession that makes complete sense at 18 and somehow never fully goes away. Joined a band, toured the world, came genuinely close. Still play most weekends with my covers band. Some things stick.
Brighton in 2005 also meant dial-up giving way to broadband, MySpace, building terrible websites just to see if you could. The internet felt like a new thing worth figuring out. That curiosity never left either — and it's probably why ending up in marketing made complete sense. Big brands, CRM, email, retention. Turns out loving how things work online is a transferable skill.
The camera came later. Then video. Then editing software I absolutely didn't need.
And somehow, none of it stopped. Not because I was grinding — but because putting any of it down just felt wrong. One passion became two, became four. Not a hustle. Just a life that got a bit full of things worth doing.
